tvaṃ kālarātristvaṃ śāntā tvameva prakṛtiḥ parā॥

"Você é Kālarātri, você está tranqüila, você é a Natureza Última (Prakrti)."

Obs: a parte do louvor de Daksha à Deusa, logo depois que ela aparece diante dele na forma que acabamos de mencionar. O termo Kalaratri - Noite de Kala (Tempo) - tem sido associado a Kali, pelo menos, desde o momento em que o épico Mahabharata foi compilado.

"You are Kālarātri, you are tranquil, you are ultimate Nature (Prakrti)."

NOTE: Part of Daksha's praise to the Goddess, immediately after she appears before him in the form just mentioned. The term Kalaratri -- Night of Kala (Time) -- has been associated with Kali at least since the time when the epic Mahabharata was compiled.

Kalika Purana - Chapter 44, verse 54

pūrvaṃ dākṣāyaṇī bhūtvā paścādgirisutābhavat ॥

Assim Kālī Mahāmāyā Yoganidrā, foi dada em nascimento no mundo, se tornou primeiramente filha de Dakṣa, e depois a filha da montanha.

NOTA: Nesta passagem, a palavra Kali, mahamaya e Yoganidra são sinônimos - palavras que descrevem o nome e a mesma Mãe do Universo. A filha de Dakha (a deusa Sati) e a filha da montanha (a deusa Parvati) são encarnações da Mãe do Universo.

Thus Kālī Mahāmāyā Yoganidrā, was given at birth in the world, first became Dakṣa's daughter, and afterwards the daughter of the mountain.

NOTE: In this passage, the word Kali, mahamaya and yoganidra are synonyms - words which name and describe the same Mother of the Universe. Dakha's daughter (the goddess Sati) and the daughter of the mountain (the goddess Parvati) are incarnations of the Mother of the Universe.
