Anshuman, neto do Rei Sagar, eventualmente conseguiu reaver o cavalo do sábio Kapila.

Ganga - The Holy Ganges
Throughout history, water sources were considered sacred, worthy of reverence and respect. With the arrival of taps and bottled water, we forget that before flowing through the pipes and conductors before being sold to consumers packaged in plastic, water is a gift of nature.
In India, every river is sacred. The rivers are considered extensions and partial manifestations of the gods, the divine. According to the Rigvedic cosmology, the very possibility of life on the planet is associated with the release of the celestial waters undertaken by Indra, god of rain. Vrtra, the enemy of Indra and the demon of chaos, hid and saved the water, thus inhibiting the creation. When defeated Vrtra Indra, the celestial waters rushed over the land, and life began.
There are several Hindu beliefs that give various versions of the birth of Ganga. According to one version, the holy water of the Kamandalu (Water jar) of the god Brahma became personified as a maiden, Ganga. According to another story, with devotion Brahma washed the feet of Vishnu and collected this water in your Kamandalu. According to yet a third version, Ganga was the daughter of Himavat, the king of mountains, and his consort Mena, she was thus a sister of the goddess Parvati. Each version states that it was created in heaven, under the tutelage of Brahma.
According to Hindu cosmology, the Ganges originates in heaven. The Kumbh Mela, the great festival that occurs around the Ganges, is a celebration of creation. According to one tale, the gods and demons fought for kumbh (pot pot), where was the amrit (nectar), created by sagar Manthan (skim the ocean). Jayant, the son of Indra, escaped with the kumbh for 12 consecutive days and the demons fought against the gods for the possession of the jar. Finally, defeated the gods drank the amrit and achieved immortality.
During the battle for possession of kumbh, five drops of amrit fell to earth, in Allahabad, Haridwar, Nasik, Ujjain and Varanasi the five cities where the festival of Kumbh Mela takes place
The oldest and best known myth about the creation of the Ganges is the legend of Bhagirath. Bhagirath was a descendant of King Sagar, the king of the oceans. King Sagar had slain the demons on earth and was performing a aswamedh-yagya (sacrifice of a horse), proclaiming its supremacy. Indra, god of rain and supreme sovereign of the realm of the gods, feared losing their power, stole Sagar's horse, tied him to the ashram of the great sage Kapila. At that time, Kapila was in deep meditation, unintended devilry of Indra.
When King Sagar heard about the stolen horse, 60,000 sent his sons to fetch him. The children finally found the horse near the sage who meditated and began to mount an attack against him. When the sage opened his eyes, he was angry to find the brothers conspirators, reducing them to ashes.
Anshuman, a grandson of King Sagar, eventually managed to recover the horse of the sage Kapila. Anshuman reported to his grandfather that the wise, angry, had burned their 60,000 children. The only way that the children could reach the sky would be if the Ganges descended from heaven to them, so that water could purify the ashes of their children. Unfortunately, Anshuman and his son Dilip were not successful in his attempt to bring the Ganges to earth.
Finally, Bhagirath, the grandson of Anshuman and of Dilip's son, went to the Himalayas and began to meditate in the town of Gangotri. After a long meditation, the Ganges appeared to him in his physical body, agreeing to descend to the earth from which one could cushion the blow of his mighty fall, since, otherwise, the earth would be destroyed by the impact. King Bhagirath appealed to Shiva, who agreed to soften the impact of the descent of the Ganges using your own hair. The river followed Bhagirath to where the ashes of the sons of King Sagar had been stacked, purifying their souls and opening for them the way to heaven.
As the Ganges descends from heaven, it represents a bridge sacred to the divine. The Ganges is a tirtha, a place of passage from one point to another. She is the only river below from all the three worlds - Swarga (heaven), Prithvi (earth) and Patala (hell or hell). So it is called "Tripathagā" (one who travels the three worlds), in Sanskrit language.
The Gangastothra-sata-namavali is an ode to the river that reveals the profound effect the same about India. This ode-greeting contains the 108 names of the sacred river. The role of the Ganges as a mediator between the material world and the divine plan takes shape among the Hindus in the rituals of funerals. The ashes of the ancestors and the Indian families are thrown into the Ganges, so that, as the sons of King Sagar, they are also able to make the transition into the heavens.

Adi Parashakti Devi e a Tridevi

Adi Parashakti significa "O Poder Eternamente Ilimitada".
Eu sou Adi Parashakti. Eu sou o proprietário deste universo. Eu sou a Realidade Absoluta.
A Iconografia indiana é rica, complexa e antiga.
Elas representam a prosperidade, pureza e força.
* A água sagrada. Poderes purificadores.
* O instrumento musical, o vina.
Mãe Mahalakshmi é a deidade principal do Raja Guna.

- Adi Parashakti Devi and the Tridevi -
According to the Hindu belief, Adi Parashakti—the Goddess, Devi—is the Supreme Being and recognized as Para Brahman. The Devi Bhagwata Mahapurana suggests that Adi Parashakti is the original creator, observer and destroyer of whole universe. Hence Adi Parashakti is Param Prakriti. Parvati, the goddess of power is considered as her Sagun Swaroop. That is to say that Parvati is the truest material form of the Goddess, possessing the three qualities (Sattva, rajas, or tamas). However, ultimately the Goddess Adi Parashakti is also considered to be truly spirit without form. She is the creator of the Trimurti, the Hindu male trinity. She is the Great Goddess, and therefore the source of all other goddesses.
Adi Parashakti means "The Eternally Limitless Power". That is, she is the Power beyond this universe. She is the active energy of God that both creates and dissolves the entire universe. The greatest difference between Shakti and Adi Parashakti is that Shakti can refer to the power of the trimurti or any other deity. In contrast, Adi parashakti is the Hindu deity referred to as the Power of Para Brahman.
In the Devi Gita, it is suggested that before incarnating as Parvati, she appeared to King Himalaya and revealed divine, eternal knowledge to him. She explained herself, in the words of the Vedas, as having neither beginning nor end and as being neither male nor female. She is the only, eternal truth. The whole universe is her creation and she is nondifferent from Para Brahman. She is one without second. She is the only victor and the manifestation of victory itself.
She is manifested (Lord Brahma), transcendent (Lord Shiva) and unmanifested (Lord Vishnu) divinity. She then displayed her scarcely seen form to him: Satyaloka was located in her forehead; the created universe were her hairs; the sun and moon were her eyes; in her ears were the four directions; the Vedas were her words; death, affection and emotion were her teeth; maya was manifested by her smile. This appearance revealed that all gods and goddesses, including the trimurti and tridevi, are merely her various forms.
● Role in Creation of Universe ●
In the Devi Bhagavata Purana, the Goddess in front of the trimurti said:
I am Adi Parashakti. I am the owner of this universe. I am the Absolute Reality. I am dynamic in feminine form and static in masculine form. You are three parts of me. You all are my partial expansions. You have appeared to govern the universe under my jurisdiction. You are the masculine form of Absolute Reality, while I am the feminine form of that Reality. I am beyond form, beyond everything, and all the powers of God are contained within me. You will admit that I am the Eternally Limitless Power. I shall now assign each of you a task.
She then commanded: Brahma! You will be generator of the universe; the Goddess Sharada is your Shakti, my form by which I will be recognized as the goddess of wisdom and the primeval sound. Lord Brahma, this goddess will be with you when you create the universe.
She continued: Lord of Lords, Narayana! You are the Supreme, Immortal Spirit. You are formless, yet you take form. I assign you to be the preserver of the universe. You will take a different incarnation in order to save this universe's inhabitants. Oh Narayana! You are the Supreme of all the deities with form. You have created Lord Brahma, and Brahma will further create thirty-three-thousand other gods and goddesses. My Great Power, goddess Mahakali, has been born from your mystic sleep. You are the Paramatman. Your consort will be goddess Shri, who is none other than the incarnation of my light, as without light, one can neither see nor be seen. When life evolves, you will take the form of Vishnu, the one who will perform the task of observing and preserving this universe.
Oh Lord Rudra, the Greatest God, you are the personification of time, which is above all. You will perform the task of destroying and regenerating this universe. When you are formless, time stands still. It is due to my power that you become dynamic and are capable of bringing about the destruction and regineration of this universe. Your consort is goddess Mahakali, but due to meditation, you will be able to surpass all of my forms. It is then that I will incarnate from your left half in my manifested form. This form will be my truest manifested form. Lord Shiva, she will perform the task of destroying evil and will be your consort.
● Forms of Adi Parashakti ●
Tridevi, a three-in-one-goddess. Tri is Sanskrit for three, and devi is goddess (the meaning is "shining one", etc.). Indian iconography is rich, complex, and ancient. Thoughts are expressed in picture form, and not just verbalised. Each of the three goddesses depicted as one, has a rich and complex "history of making", where ideas replace others, some merge and so on. The presentation below is not unusual today.
Lakshmi is to the left, Parvati is in the middle, and Saraswati, goddess of learning, music, arts, and much else, is to the right.
They represents purity, prosperity and strength. Each devi has many arms, which represents several functions. One of their hand gestures is one of fearlessness - the abhaya mudra. At times a devi is represented as having two arms, at other times four arms, and still other times as having eight arms, suggesting that each may effectuate many things. Each devi has a forehead decoration called bindi (tilak), which is a mark between the eyebrows. It reminds of the third eye. All Hindu women wear a bindi. Each goddess is crowned, suggesting Subtle Attainments, nobility - royalty, even lordship.
Also, a goddess typically has a consort: Saraswati has Brahma, God the Creator, Lakshmi has Vishnu, and Parvati has Shiva. Together they correspond to the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The goddess icon is taken to represent the shakti, power, prowess of her consort, but maybe she is independent, or quite independent of him also - at times, and so on.
Many a devi has a history of amalagamated features from many sources attributed to her. And there is room for many interpretations, but sound historical knowledge of each goddess is not bad for those who would like to get closer to any of them.
When represented separately, the three goddesses have typical features; some of them are seen in the tridevi (triple goddess) painting too:
SARASWATI, is the first partial expansion of Goddess Adi Parshakti. She represents the Sattva Guna and is the shakti of Lord Brahma, God the Creator, so she represents fertility and prosperity also. She is also reckoned with in Mahayana Buddhism, holding Tripitaka scriptures. In Vedanta she is considered to be the feminine energy and knowledge aspect (shakti) of Brahman (God).
Dressed in pure white, which white, which signifies the purity of true knowledge, she represents the experience of the Highest Reality, and also intelligence, consciousness, secular learning, and essential divine knowledge, creativity, education, enlightenment, music, the arts, and power. She is associated with purity and creativity, literary communication, and sound verbal skills - flows of thoughts and words.
In Hindu iconography she is seated on a swan, hamsa. She is often seated on a white lotus as well, and is additionally associated with the colour yellow. Saraswati dresses modestly, not heavily adorned with jewels and gold.
Her four arms represent the four sides to learning: mind, intellect, alertness, and ego. Alternatively, her four arms are taken by some to mean prose - the book in one hand; poetry - the garland of crystal; music - the vina; and the pot of water - purity:
* The book. Universal lore and her perfection of the sciences and the scriptures.
* The rosary of crystals. The power of meditation and spirituality.
* The sacred water. Purificatory powers.
* The musical instrument, the vina. Wise perfection of arts and sciences, and the love for and rhythm of music speaking of emotions and feelings.
A white swan is often seen close to her feet. The swan thus symbolizes fine, elegant discrimination. Saraswati is also referred to as Hamsa-vahini, which means "she who has a swan as her vehicle". She is usually depicted near a flowing river, which may be related to her early history as a river goddess. The swan and her association with the lotus flower also point to her ancient origin. Sometimes a peacock of vain arrogance is shown beside her. It is allegedly to teach not to be so much concerned with external appearance and to be wise concerning eternal truth. When she is without form, she becomes the Primordial Sound.
LAKSHMI, is the second partial expansion of Goddess Adi Parshakti. She is the goddess of the material world and its preservation. She also brings good fortune and spiritual satisfaction. She is the shakti of Lord Narayana and is the bestower of all wealth and pleasure. Goddess of beauty, grace, loveliness, and charm represents calm and wealth, prosperity, purity, generosity and good fortune, such as by strokes of luck. She holds a lotus and spreads petals. Her name indicates she is a goddess of means to achieving objectives, including prosperity, according to Monier Williams Sanskrit English Dictionary, which is online today.
According to one legend she appeared at the creation, floating over the water on the expanded petals of a lotusflower. She is closely associated with the lotus. The lotus represents purity, and a lotus seat in Hindu iconography represents a fertile growth of organic life too.
Her traditionally accepted vehicle is the owl who sleeps at day and prowls at night. it may be understood in this way: "Loveliness is a prowler in the unseen." There are other possibilites of interpretation too. Mother Mahalakshmi is the primary deity of the Raja Guna. When she is formless, she becomes light.
PARVATI is considered generally benign, and represented as fair and beautiful. She seems to be the latest addition to the three Hindu goddesses, as she does not appear in Vedic literature. She is mentioned first among 400 BC - 400 AD. It used to be constantly depicted with bare breasts before the Muslim invasion in the year 1100. Bare breasts were considered a mark of divinity in ancient India. The Ramayana and the Mahabharata present Parvati as Shiva's wife, but only between the years 300 and 1300 of the current era myths obtained complete details. Different scholars suggest that myths may be older, it could come from various Vedic Goddesses.
She now represents fertility, marital happiness, devotion to the spouse, and asceticism. Their characteristics became more and more obscure, because she absorbed more and more goddesses in their iconography. Sometimes she carries a rosary, mirror, bell in his hands. His cult first emerged in the Himalayas, and their qualities were mostly supernatural. His fascination symbolic gestures indicate, among other things. In iconography she is married to Shiva, the bow and arrow in hand Parvati suggests that she is an archer. She holds a trident and sword too.
Vehicle Parvati animal is a lion, and in some places she rides a bull.
Currently she is a goddess only worshiped in their expansions as Durga and Kaali.
Mahakali is the third partial expansion of Goddess Adi Parshakti. She is the goddess of spiritual fulfillment as well as presiding over the destruction of the universe. She gives salvation to mankind. She is the shakti of Lord Shiva. She helped Lord Mahavishnu slay the demons Madhu and Kaitabha. She was born from the eyes of Mahavishnu. Mother Mahakali wears blue and presides over the Tamas Guna. When she is formless, she becomes heat.

Mrityu Devi /

Eles estavam dispostos a produzir.
A culpa será atribuída à doença".
